Autumn Bookshelves Lap Quilt
I machine pieced and also quilted this quilt using my Janome Memory Craft 9000.
Finished size: 55" x 65"
Front piecing: Five rows of "books on bookshelves" pattern in fabrics of autumn colors - green, orange, brown and blue cottons.
Sashing: In between each row are "shelves" made of brown or sage green flannel.
Border: Deep burnt orange flannel.
Back: Coordinating printed flannel using same colors as front piecing.

Binding: Tied knots pulling together front and back flannel borders.
Quilting: Stitched in-the-ditch using standard as well as decorative stitches in both green and brown threads.
