🍭FINISHED QUILT:🍭

Construction:
It took Cat 4 sets of Wilmington Prints Essentials - Magic Colors 40 Karat Gems 2.5" precut strips to make this quilt.
Cat employs very precise piecing techniques (using starch, pins, patience, and a lot of sliver-trimming) as she puts together the many pieces for this queen-sized Buckeye Beauty (also called Jewel Box) pattern.
Quilting:
The quilt back is loaded (after attaching the fabric back to the leaders, we rolled it back and forth between the back and front bars a few times, helping to even any tension).
Batting is added, and quilt top is floating, ready to be basted into place.
Last and final row, #10, stitching out great! It took almost 9 hours to completely stitch this lovely quilt on my long arm.
Binding:
Cat machine attached the binding strips to the front of the quilt, then wrapped them around to the back and skillfully hand-stitched the binding.
After washing, Cat gifted the quilt, and it will certainly be used and loved for many moons!
And here's the "sister" quilt to this beauty, Jewel Box Queen - Pastels.
