Commission: Celtic Solstice Couch Quilt

This quilt was expertly pieced by (and belongs to) Catherine L. ("Cat")

It was quilted on my Janome QMP-18 long arm.

Finished size: 85" x 85”

🎊FINISHED QUILT:🎊

Front: Cat pieced this beautiful quilt using Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice pattern.

Borders: Narrow inner grass green border, followed by a wide border in a lovely deep blue.

Back: The backing fabric is a wide blue cotton with black leaves (Blank Quilting #7202, 2014).

Quilting: The stitching pattern is "English Ivy" by Wasatch Quilting. Cat chose Wild Grass (So Fine #483) for both the front and back threads.

The quilt sandwich loaded and basted, being quilted on my Janome QMP18 long arm.

First row -  "English Ivy" by Wasatch Quilting is a gorgeous stitch pattern! It has many backtracks though, so its stitch time was about double what I anticipated.

Finishing the final row. The Wild Grass thread is such a great color for this quilt's stitching!

Cat skillfully adds her perfect hand sewn binding.
