🍬FINISHED QUILT:🍬
Front: Cat pieced this beautiful queen-sized quilt using the Buckeye Beauty (also called Jewel Box) pattern.
🍬PROGRESS PHOTOS:🍬
Construction:
Cat used 4 sets of Wilmington Prints Essentials - Spring Fling Gems precut 2.5" strips to make this quilt.
A few photos showing Cat's precise piecing techniques (starch, patience and lots of sliver-trimming) as she puts together the parts and pieces for this queen-sized Buckeye Beauty (also called Jewel Box) pattern.
Quilting:
Backing is loaded (after attaching the fabric back to the leaders, we rolled it back and forth between the back and front bars a few times, helping to even any tension).
Batting is added, and quilt top is loaded, ready to baste into place.
Finishing the 10th and final row. Start to finish, it took about 8 hours to completely quilt this beauty on my long arm.
Cat attaches the binding strips to the front of the quilt...
...then wraps them around to the back and skillfully finishes by hand stitching the binding.
And here's the "sister" quilt to this beauty, Jewel Box Queen - Brights.
